The 139th British Open Golf 2010

In 1860 Willie Park Senior competed and won the very first British Open, or more correctly - The Open Championship for professional golfers over three rounds of the twelve hole links course at Prestwick. In 2010 The Open Championship returns to the home of golf and the 139th Open Championship, 150 years since the story began.

Scene of some of the most memorable moments in Open history, the Ailsa championship course is a legend in the world game. Watson, Norman, Price they’ve all won golf’s most coveted trophy here on the Turnberry links. And another name will join them in the summer of 2009 when the Open returns to the Ailsa.

Facilities

The Official Open Golf Hospitality Club

This is a luxury VIP restaurant, lounge and bar located in the heart of the on course-tented village. The Official Open Golf Hospitality Club offers you and your guests a complete hospitality service throughout each of the four days of the Championship. Closed circuit TV and 'Unisys' computerised scoring will allow you to relax and stay in touch with the action on course.
You may book for any day of the Championship or across all four days. Bookings accepted for two persons upwards. Private reserved tables for 8 – 12 guests, smaller groups on shared tables. There is currently still availability for 50 guests.

Private Chalets for 30 or 100 persons

Located in the heart of the on course-tented village. Private corporate chalets offer a similar service to The Official Open Golf Hospitality Club but on an exclusive basis and are available for 30 or 100 guests. You may book for any day of the Championship or across all four days.
Minimum booking 2 guests.

The Scores Hotel

The historic Scores Hotel is situated in an enviable position, only 20m from the iconic 18th Green and overlooking the spectacular St Andrews Bay. There can be no better base at the Open than our private hospitality suite, complete with a secluded garden patio. This is the ultimate St Andrews experience, one you will never forget.
Bookings of 2 upwards can be made; private tables are available for bookings of 10 guests.
